Stupid sunroof question
Stupid sunroof question
So I have a factory deflector that was given to me with my car when I bought it but it wasn't installed. I can't seem to figure out how it attaches. I'm pretty sure everything is there. Would someone be kind enough to take a picture of the mounting points on theirs so I can make heads or tails of how it goes on?
My Maxima doesn't have the sunroof deflector installed either. In my opinion, you're better off without it. First off, the Maxima looks cleaner without that piece of plastic up there. Second, that plastic deflector tends to fade and crack, especially around the mounting points. I guess the plastic just doesn't hold up very well to heat, uv rays, cold, and vibration. Third, the paint directly under the places where the plastic brace touches the roof of your car can get messed up. This could be because dirt, water, and other debris can work its way in between the deflector and the paint.
