use hair dryer. hat it and then try to twist it or some peole put some wax and use credit card to remove it without scatching the paint. After removal use "Guff off" to take off the glue then wax it and you are done. I did this mod on my friends 99 maxima and you can't even tell that the maxima emblem was there

He's referring to the Nissan emblem, not the Maxima wording... I believe there are screws behind it that ya have to remove... and it'll leave 2 holes in the trunk of ya take it off...

Im not sure if there is screw or not becuase my buddy shaved his emblems and i dont believe there was any screws that he had to deal with unless his new R emblem had screws to fill the existing holes.

i took mine off and there are no screws, but taking the emblem off does leave two holes in your trunk. i only discovered this after i took mine off, so i just through a cheesy cf maxima emblem over the holes. hopefully this summer, i can get the holes shaved.

yeah btw your car looks really nice. A type R emblem would look sick in the center of your front top grille.

if you take em off, why not put plugs in the holes and paint it with touch up paint?

Thanks... guess I has half right... looks like either filling the holes or covering em up is the only solution...

i removed mine, filled the whole with bondo, and used touch up paint.
i liked it at first but after a year i decided i wanted something new and unique so i have the smaller emblem off a late 90s pathfinder

When I debadged my trunk, I found that a product called "OOPS" removed the adhesive much better than GooGone. I bought it from Autozone.
