just let the negative from your battery disconnected for at least three hours... you should be fine...... the ECU reprogram is not necessary at all... I call DAVEB and he told me that.....

NO!

This is a POS and will not do anything for your car.

I think if you are a 00-01 and get the new MAF that you do need the ECU reprogramed.

I have a new MAF on my 2000, feels great but I've had an intake for months w/o a SES. I keep resetting the battery overnite to keep getting a P1130. Searched all over but couldnt find any answers on the org. Autozone says too much air flow to the engine. Now I do believe the ecu reprogram will clear this code for it accomodates for these mods. Like hypergrounding, the reprogram should allow for things to run a little better with modded max's. And I was also quoted $150 for the work, crazy u kno.

They are reaming you for reprogamming. I paid 45$ CAN. and it took about 30 min. Find another dealer that is at least half honest.

I'm pretty sure that's only for 02-03s... its the same one as in the FAQs/How-Tos...

When ya install a new MAF, the reprogramming of the ECU is not the same as getting an aftermarket reflash... which seems to be what you have in mind...

And like everyone said... JET chips do nothing for us....

Some of you, I take it from yor replys that he is talking about resetting the ECM. He is talking about a reburn/reprogram. When you buy a new MAF (00-01 5th gens) you get a note recommend a reburn and it tells you the exact burn that you need. I got qouted $83 dollars, I would go to another dealer. $160 is too much IMO.
