My 2k2 had a 45mm offset but i'm running 35mm now - i don't think it's that big a deal. Deep dish wheels aren't that big of a problem, well, unless you've got bad roads then you'll have to deal with rubbing especially if you're lowered.

You can go down to a 30mm offset without rubbing as long as you don't go with too wide of a rim.

I run 18x8 with 30mm offset, and they are flush with the outer wheelwell in the front....here's what it looks like. IMHO. 30mm is PERFECT for a wide stance, but the wheels not sticking out...

and that's TAPOUT's NOS, not mine

Personally I would prefer a 40mm front and a 30mm rear since it seems to me a 30mm front offset makes the front tires stick out too far when compared to the back. 40mm offset with 10mm spacers in the back should even out the stance just a bit.

Ideally, I'd like 18x8 30mm up front, 18x9 30mm in the back

Yeah, but then you can't do a standard X tire rotation

Yeah...I'm just speaking in terms of appearance and handling - the lack of rotation-ability certainly rules it out for me as far as I'm concerned....

"ideally" meaning if I had unlimited money to buy new tires

heh....NOS is a for any kind of auto-x or road racing, and you all know I don't drag or run the 1/4

Jason (TAPOUT) was using the NOS in the car next to mine in this pic, as I recall - not his Maxima.

(if you look real close, you can see "Tapout" on his shirt just past my open hood
