5.5 gen homemade hyperground kit

Hey guys.. I'm planning on making my own 8-gauge hyperground kit for my '02. I've seen irish's detailed write-up, but I am wondering if the ground wire mounting points on the 00-01 VQ30 are the same as the 02-03 with the VQ35. Any info, tips, or tricks regarding the install would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I did the Blehmco grounding kit on my car.....the vq30&vq35 are pretty damn similiar if you ask me....as far as ground points go......so yeah...basically you want to get the important ones...such as the neg battery, alternator...and the two points on the passenger side of the engine....u have to remove the engine cover in order to see this.....but anyway maybe try adding two wires to the negative terminal....and two wires to the alternator then ground all of them.....i've only done 1 wire of each....it helps....but i heard the more wires it frees up more.

Thanks Steven, i'm using irish's how-to as a reference point, and just was curious if anything is different on the VQ35 that wouldn't be shown on his write-up for the VQ30. So if the mounting points are similar on both motors as you stated, then the install should go smooth and accurate. Also, double wires to the alternator and negative battery terminal sounds like a good idea, I think I may even try running 4 gauge wire in place of the double 8 gauge wires.

Most audio people upgrade the big three power wire with 0 gauge wire which is what I plan to I may use it for the major grounds as well. It is overkill for grounds but I have extra. You should be fine with 8 guage but the quaity of the wire can make a difference. I plan to use very high quality audio wire.

that cardomain website should be made into the HOW TO's...i know irish's HOW TO is listed in there....but 02-03 owners might get a better idea from this write up....since both of the engines are 100% identical looking
