To Those with LED Turn Signal Mirrors

Is their anywhere inside the cabin I can tap into the signal wires?

I dont really feel it's necessary to run wires under the hood....

Any help is appreciated.

Can you not tap into the fuse box or the turn signal stalk (steering column)?

I haven't looked under there, so i'm not sure what options there are. Just wanted to make sure you've exhausted those options.

If you can find the fuses inside the cabin that controls the signals you can probably tap into the wires from there. I don't think it might be necessary to go into the hood area, but I might be wrong. I will check mine out to see for sure.

And one more thing I would'nt mind getting some of those mirrors with the turn signals on the mirrors like on the Mercedes. I don't know of any yet except the ones you slip over the back of your current mirrors.

If you cant find them, I think your last option might be under the hood. You can tap into the signal wires from there.

If anyone finds that writeup, please post it here. I have done a search and was unable to find anything.

You can purchase the mirrors from: www.redlinemax.com

Hey Igor, how bout locating the bounded wires running from the rear of the car towards the engine bay. Probably in the door sill. Just locate the wire coming from the tails and splice into it as it passes the cabin. I was looking at the wires yesterday in the trunk where the trunk sill is, and if i'm not mistaken, looks like it's running down the passenger side of the car.

You can run the wires to the back of the guages, the wires are color coded, real easy if you have the wiring diagram. The most difficult thing for me was I stripped the screws at the bottom of the mirrors so I wasn't able to run my wires through it. I had to drill a small hole through the side of the black part and run the wires through the doors under the center console to the back of the guages.

I ran mine right next to the thick harness that goes between the fenders and the splash guard. Started from the turn signals by the headlights and ran it on the harness all the way to the door where the harness goes in. Simple and quick.

THESE INSTRUCTIONS ARE INCORRECT!!!

I tried to use them and they make the relay go crazy, when the turnsignal is off, it makes the relay think that the hazards are on. This will fry your relay!!!

I sat there for an hour testing diff wires. Ground BOTH wires to the thick black wire, then connect LEFT to green/white and RIGHT to green/yellow.

I THINK thats how I got it to work. I can't remember
