I just noticed today the when approach a compelte stop the front of the brakes makes a pretty loud groaning noise, almost sounds like the ABS is working when it is not suppose to. After I parked for a while it and then drove it again it went away. Try searching for it on the forums, but no real answers. Any ideas? I know we talk about it a ways back.

Mine does the same thing. I took it into a shop because I thought that my brake pads were going out. The shop said that my front rotors were burned. Meaning that my brakes got really hot and kind of melted my rotors. They said my brakes were fine, but I hate that noise.

After hard braking, your rotors get really hot and I think they can cause the pads to glaze the rotors. This will make for a really horrible sound. Once they cool down, things should be ok.....

I have the same problem too..If I change to different kind of brake pad, will it solve the problems?

Thanks

So it is ok to leave it along for now? If the brake pads are sticking then it might damage the rotors. Maybe a new set of pads are in order. Wonder if the dealer will do anything about it.

I don't know what the dealer would do.....but I am taking my car in to the dealer tomorrow to get my warped rotors fixed.....I checked my rotors the other day since I had the wheels off. They showed a lot of wear for a car that has only 10k miles on it. Hopefully, they will replace them rather than just resurfacing them....

The groaning noise comes from having too much fun on the ride home!

It goes away after a while.
