$3,000 doesn't get you very far in vehicle repair nowadays. There's not a chance in hell it's only $3,000.

Damn Jason, that really sucks......hope I never have to experience something like that with my baby. But like everyone else has said, hopefully it's totalled so that you can get you a 6spd 3.5L!! (and let me drive it of course)

also depends on the shop. One shop will say 2000, another 3000 and another will say 10,000...

But realistically looks like 3000 or so.

looks like the frame might have gotten twisted, if the frame rails around the engine got damaged- you will end up getting it totalled. I cringe at the day something like this where to happen to me, I would probably be very pissed and depressed with all my hard work and $$$ put into the car. Drink away, cheers

Real sorry to see and hear this. I feel bad, especially after sitting back and reading all the posts, and seeing all the the pictures of time and money spent on your car over the past year since i've been a member here... It's almost like seeing a fallen family member. I wish you the best of luck with the outcome of this, and if it does get repaired, then I suggest not letting the insurance companies make you settle for second-rate non-Nissan parts. You will only be more frustrated with the car if the fit and finish isn't up to par as it was before the accident. After seeing your pics, I would honestly say it's time to upgrade and move on to a newer Max, and treat it with the same respect as the one you have now. Best of luck.

sorry to hear about your car but im glad your ok.
about your car i dont think it will be totalled, the "the metal bumper" is just a reinforcement bar and its not that expensive. as long as the frame rails are straight which they look like they are, insurance should fix your car.

Looks repairable. my front end looked like that when a stupid neon ran a red light and t-boned my driver's side front. at least you're okay. if you wanted to do any cosmetic mods for your car. this is the time. you can tell the body shop what to order. that's how i got AE headlights.

That's not that bad, just get a Stillen front bumper, a Trenz grille, some Z3 fenders, and a carbon fiber hood.

Yea the insurance will consider it a total loss, since the milage is high.... and if they do you should get a 5.5 gen... or STI !!!!!!!1

Yo Man,
If your car can't be fixed, you better get another maxima! Who is going to fill your shoes as the resident jack a$$ on this board? I've tried a few times but can't compare to you. It won't be the same without you flaming away at some newb for asking about vert doors or a car chip.

In all seriousness, I hope everything works out for you!

Jason- If they total your car, you will be able to remove most of the mods from it, right? If you get time alone with the car after it's been totalled, you should take everything you put into it, and also take those black taillights. You'll need them for that Majestic Blue '02.
