my car was getting slower and i didn't feel it pull as much after 5k.
i reved the engine and saw that the solenoid moved, so i know all the electricals are good and the vacuum lines. i used to be able to hear the vias open up since i have an intake, but now it's not as noticable so i thought it was broken... hahah, damn... mine's still purdy damn solid. i have 114k on my motor.

There's nothing wrong with your VIAS i'm sure, but there's something wrong with your/our engine. They're 3.0l, thats the problem.

yeah... dammit, it's too small... girls always be complaining... uh... about my engine size..
so i put it all back together and i switched out all those stupid screws with 8.8 grade bolts. just to make it easier to take apart when the darn think actually breaks

Jokingly: How does the displacement have anything to do with it? Supra's are 3.0's and Skyline's are 2.8's ( don't berate me, I realize that those are both race cars off the assembly line).

Plus, you could easily bore out the 2000-2001 Maxima to a 3.2L.

You should have poured a little JB Weld in there so you dont have to worry about it breaking in the future.

oh well though

i thought about it, and decided against it, i actually got the regular jb weld so it'd put my car out 24hrz. and since it's not broken i just thought F it. i know the jb weld would have made the bottom of the cup a little bit more rigid, but now that i have bolts, it'll be real easy to take off.
