How do I get the MAFS off the harness

I can't seem to get my old MAFS off the harness. I push down on the green part and pull up but nothing happens.

I had this problem also becuase I never had disconnected a wiring harness in my car. Push it all the way down with a flat head screw driver and after it goes down about 90%, apply little bit more pressure and it pops open. I have actually practiced it on the connector near the radiator first to understand how it works..

I got it off but now I hold this gray piece that came out of it and can't get it to connect back up.

make sure the connector is facing the same way it was before and just push it back on til it clicks.

Good. Let us know how the ride is with the new MAF. Are you planning on getting the ECU update?
