just so you guys know, those are NOT OEM maxima hids, they are very high quality AM

anyway, u need a wiring harness from a nissan dealership (or go to www.courtesyparts.com ) and u also need the headlight clips, u can get those at a nissan dealership, they dont cost much...

In terms of performance and longelivity, would these be any different than oem? I have been strongly considering picking up a set from performance depot once I graduate college and start my new job.

I bought them.. and not that happy!

Not that great. I have asked several guys to send me some pics of how their OEM lights look at night and then ones I have don't seem to be near as bright as the OEM. For $600 I would have expected to "see everything" at night as I was told... Also, The clips are not necessary. I didn't need them. But I don't recommend them. They come with a PHIILIPS ballast which is not the same brand Nissan used as you can tell on the other threads. If you have better results than I have let me know so I can bring mine back to the installer and tell him to change something!

Those are not OEM, but aftermarket replicas.

Either way, OEM or replicas, I think they are the worst reflector based HID's out there. Maybe it's just me, but the Acura TL's (before 2004 model) are much brighter than ours, the Infiniti G35 lights are prettier, etc etc etc.

well i can give u my review on them because a friend of mine got them

the beam pattern with the OEM beam pattern does not look as good, its not as bright at all

for those without clips, i recommend at least getting them soon.. it will hold the headlight in there more secure, besides, they dont cost very much...

but yeah, for those that got these headlights from performance depot, u can just buy 2 ballasts from a set of OEM headlights and get some better bulbs (i have 6000k from umnitza in my OEM headlights) and you should be set...

Rather than going through all that hassle, why not just buy a set of OEM lights for a little more money? And where can you get just the ballasts from OEM lights that aren't stolen? Just curious.
