Yeah i get it real bad but I figured it had something to do with this climate here in Alaska, I get shocked in the house, getting out the car, everywhere and not just me, my friends too!! **** me off sometimes cause I never expect itand it hurt like hell. It has me scared to touch my car.

Happens all the time. Every once in a while, when I'm REALLY hard up, I'll touch my nether regions to my car before I get in just for cheap thrills.
Serioulsy, it's a problem for almost every car in the winter, but, I'll admit, seems to be worse for the max.

Human bodies are lousy conductors too. We're actually strong resistors, but the fluids within us make decent conductors.

It happened to me only when I wore wool in the winter time. Specifically, if I wore my wool-lined leather gloves. I learned to shut the door by pushing on the window. But then when I had to open the gate (since I garage the car)...ZAP! And the trippiest thing is that my driveway is dark as sin, so I can see the bolt of static just pop when the key makes contact with the keyhole/door ****.

I know how to avoid being shocked, and I've learned to do this everytime I get out, I just touch the outside metal part of the door before getting out and its fine. Anyone see cars with like rubber things hanging underneath cars they are called static-discharge strips. Buy them at any auto store. They use that to discharge the automobile. Damn things have to be replaced often though because they wear out fast.
Some one said Maxima's are worse than other cars well our tires are low profile so there's your answer.
