Maxima pulls to the left

I hit the gas and the car pulls to the left??? I thought maybe it needs an alignment but the guy at the shop said it could be something with the tire? If I am driving down the highway and I let off the gas and the stearing wheel I am in the left lane quickly. Anyone have this happen to them before? I also had a new tire put on the left side about three months after I had one put on the right side but they both have the same wear. Anyone???

are both tires the same?

some tires have what's known as "radial pull" which makes them pull to one side.

also, there's torque steer, but that's when accellerating

mine pulled to the left a few months ago after i got it back from the dealership. sears said my allignment was pefect. what happened was the retards put a lot more air in one tire than the other. the pressure was off by about 5psi. once i let some air out the car drove fine.

when did this start happening? That's usually a clue to the problem.

JK, it's prolly alignment or tire pressure issues. But as Irish said, if you have directional tires, that can also do it as well....

Mine has been drifting both left and right. It started after the blizzard we had a couple of months ago.

slightly pull to the right is usual due to the curve of the road surface. but don't know why its pull to the left if 1. tires are inflated properly 2. suspension has no problem 3. alignment is OK. My best guess is to check if there's something wrong with the suspension.

5th gens are VERY sensitive to tire pressure.

Bullseye. A few PSI can affect your steering pull. 1st check to make sure your tires are pressurized accordingly and the same amount. Then if it still pulls troubleshoot other areas.

This is what the problem was. I can't believe how much it did pull to the left just becasue of tire pressure...
