AM Radio Gone!! Any suggestions?

Hi Peeps,
Recently, My AM radio reception has all but dissappeared. Super, super static and nearly unhearable except for MAYBE one station, even then I have to turn it up real loud. My FM is fine. Any suggestions as to what is going on? When I set the radio to autotune, it finds no stations and just keeps repeating the cycle.

Thanks.

Dr.Omed.

Isn't that normal for AM reception. I don't really use my AM, actually not at all ... That's the way my AM usually sounds though, poor quality and distorted.

Did you vacuum under the dash area? Your antenna connection might be loose.

Antenna Location

Hi,
Does anyone know where the AM antenna location is? Is it under the dash or in the engine compartment? That way I can check if its loose or not.

Thanks.

Come on now AM, you know....as in Morning! Get with the PM program people.

AM/FM/PM/whatever antenna is all the same connection. It's behind the radio. Plugged directly into it. If you AM is out then your FM would be the same. In this case it's probably the signal strength in your area that's all. Tell them to put up more towers.

You people are ridiculous. AM is about all the radio I listen to. Between Boortz and local sports coverage, you can't beat it.

(FYI, your antenna connection is most likely loose)

What do you know about Boortz? I know you're on that 790 for sports, right? Can't beat 2 Live Stews and Southern Comfort.
