What year is your car?

As far as I know, our cars do not have "coils".

I think that the "coils" he is referring to are the ignition coils. The coils are specified as a lifetime part, hence the use of them over spark plug wires, but I would recommend they be changed every 80-100k miles or so.....they aren't cheap though.

Well, if you can afford to spend about 3-400 dollars on new coils, then I would say go for it, but most people here don't change them out until they go bad (which occurs regularly).

2K coils

I can not find the updated coils part numbers, are they anywhere in this site?
Are these the correct numbers? 22448-2Y000 and 22448-2Y005, with grey dot. My car has been down waiting for new coils.

Sorry to highjack, but I am unable to post a "new message"

Thank You,
T4Turtle

Thanks sloppymax, I was looking at a set on Ebay that has the old part numbers then. And he wanted $282+shipping.

I am waiting on Twllin for a set of the updated coils for $265 shipped.

If anyone else has a line on the updated coils let me know. I need them ASAP.

Thanks Again,
T4Turtle

hey sloppymax,
i checked on the new part numbers in the pinnacle nissan parts site.. and they gave me the parts for 2y001 but for the 2y006 they said there is a new part number 2y007...? is that for the newer years?? i got a 2000 SE with coils heading to the darkside. don't wanna end up spending the 'ch-ching' and it turn out to be the old 'badly designed' coils. Thanks
Kason

i am unfamiliar with that part number. mine are the updated ones for the 01 and they end in 01 and 06. you may want to call a local dealer to confirm but i have had no issues with mine.
