It's a sad day for me - PLEASE HELP
Ok maybe I exaggerated on my title, but I love the car too much to let this go. My front bumper for got hit (or maybe I hit someone, who knows), probably at a parking lot, and now it's got rub marks and leftover paint from the other person's car on it. Anyone has ANY IDEA how to get rid of these? Of course the ideal solution is to bring it to a bodyshop, but I'm trying to avoid that.
I've tried Maguire's cleaner wax/deep polish and was able to get some of the light marks off, but as if you can see from the picture, some are major ones. Any help will be appreciated...

Do you have such a thing as Chips Away. It's a franchise that deals with bumper problems, keyed doors etc. They're a lot cheaper than a body shop. I know you can get a bumper fixed where I'm from for $200 Canadian. It might cost you say US$150 but a body shop will be more. You won't be able to fix that yourself.
You know how it happened so please enligthen us. Obviously you screwed up and the other guy must have problems. If not, what is your comprehensive deductible? Did you report it to the police or are they only involved when there is more damage?

although it's hard to tell from that picture how deep those scratches are.

You need a medium grade cleaner. Try Meguiar's MO116:

I suspect the black scratches on your car are not the other car's paint but in fact the plastic of your bumper (meaning the paint is completely removed in that area). If that is true, you need a repaint.

you could do it yourself, but Id take it into a body shop and have it fixed. I had the same thing happen to my bumper (not as bad) and I tried quite a few things before finally just taking it in. It wasnt cheap, but it was worth it.
