How did you get all the pieces off the car? Like the upper vents on the dash? Also the moldings where the window switches are. Do they all just pry out? Thanks because I think i am going to paint everything today!!!

Yeah they just pop out. I used a flat head screwdriver. For the switch covers you start from the part towards the back of the door. Upper vents just pop out too. There is a clip on them that faces the door of the side the vent is on. I should have took a pic of that.

I have the Brushed Aluminum Dash Kit on my car, I am wondering if I can take that off without any damage. Use alcohol to remove the residue from the kit and just paint everything.

You should be able to use a hair dryer or heat gun and warm it up to peal it off. Btw, what guages do you have and where'd you get them from?

Gauges

Well the Gauges in the dash are from ottoracing.com and the other gauges in my triple pod are autometer. I got them from a shop where I get all my work done that I can't do!!

Well, I painted my Sun Glass Holder/Overhead Lights/Sunroof piece today and it came out sweet. Also painted the upper vents on the dash.

Pictures

Well I took a few pictures of the vents I painted on the dash. The other vents still have the Brushed Aluminum pieces on them. Also painted the door handle rings Sterling Mist. Painted the Sunglass/Light/Sunroof piece. Oh I forgot, the black plastic piece in the trunk I painted sterling mist also. Heres the pics!!!

Thinking of doing the Tweeters Grilles also, not sure yet but think it would be a nice offset with the pillars.

Man me too. I tried like too different paints Dupli-Color, And Rustoleum or what ever, to paint my window trims, I prepped them real good and when i clear coated them, the paint would run or it would never stick to the trim, but on the other hand it worked good on the door handle trims? Hum IDUDNOTNO. Maybe i needed some plastic adhesion promoter tho

Yeah, I learned too when it comes to painting plastic. But, now I got it down to a science. This is what to do when painting plastic. You have to first buy "plastic primer". This type of special primer makes the paint adhere to the plastic very well. Using any other type of primer will sometimes or always make the paint run. Try it, you'll see.

Good Job. Did you have to remove the door to get the inside door handles off?

Not at all, they just pop off, just be careful. Make sure you pop out the rear first and then push forward and it just pops out!!!!

Ok.. I'm going to paint mine when it gets nice outside. Actually I'll probably just paint the inside part of the handle and not the actuall handle itselft. Here are some pics of my center console that I finished last week.

I love how the paint looks when the light hits it.

Same here. I think I'm just going to do the outside ring on the tweeter cover.
