Clutch help???

I was hoping someone could help me here. I have a 2001 Maxima SE and I am having some problems with my clutch pedal, it sort of gets mushy sometimes I dont think it is the clutch itself (no slipping or noises). Is there a clutch cable or is there a hydraulic clutch on my car? If there is a hydraulic
system on it can it be flushed??

Thanks alot
Jason

check the fluid level in the clutch master cylinder. If it is too low, air probably got into the system. It could be leaking slowly (I had one replaced since it was slowly leaking).....

fill the reservoir, and bleed the clutch system.

problem solved.
