I always thought that the 6000K bulbs were the ones with the blue tint.

I have 6000K Eagleye Bulbs on my 2k3. They're BRIGHT as all hell. Its purplish white and when it starts up its so freaking nice. You can get them for about 150-189 shipped @ www.plasmagarage.com.

how's the output on the 6k bulbs? brighter/dimmer than stock (and by this, i mean the output on the road not the way it "looks"). I've read that the rating is for the color not the output.

from the thread we had about this a while back, 6000k was the highest you should go to still have a light output equal to stock. higher than that, 8-12K, was more color than light output. ive been thinkin about getting 6000K for a while, but does anyone have any pics of the 6000K output?

The higher the Kelvin temperature, the less output. Stock is around 4100-4300k for a reason, because they have the best output.

I switched to 6000k bulbs from umnitza. If I were you I wouldn't go any higher than that. Otherwise you will have trouble seeing the road well while driving at night.
