IMO, i think the "antenna" you see on the roof towards the rear are not functional ones but rather cosmetic ones (they even have ones that light up). Try the honda online stores, they usually have them as a "rice accessory." So far I have not seen a maxima with this so-called antenna, then again, i could be wrong.

personally, I like having a "clean" roof.....those BMW antennas look imo....one of the best parts about the maxima is the antenna in the rear glass....

...until you get an aftermarket HU, and you get NO radio reception with the in-glass antenna. I thought about getting a short antenna and mounting it in the pillar or something. Or maybe a small roof antenna. Something that will give me some radio reception would be nice.

Du how you been, Are you close to Reading? What I was trying to say earlier was that my car is black and those whip antennas on the VW's look cool, I think one would look great on my car being that it is black and the antenna is black. My radio reception is not too bad so It doesn't have to work I was wondering what people thought of them and where I could pick one up??

Non-functional antennas for "decoration" have been since day one when kids put those Fuba ones on their Civics.

Those antennas remind me of a toyota corolla.

Naa, I'm not near ya. And I'd stick with these other guys on this one. If you don't need it for reception, you really shouldn't get it.

It does look good but it means putting a hole in the roof. A hole that could let in the elements. The satilite antenna also looks good and can be painted to match the car. Anyone know if the radio reception would get better with the add-on antenna? The rear window antenna isn't very good or the radio doesn't pick up well.

I have an XM antenna on mine - not exactly a whip but looks decent. Plus it sticks on the roof so no drilling involved. I've had it for about 2 years now with no problems. I even had a flying cardboard hit it on the highway once.

by the way those BMW shark fin antennas arent for the radio, the radio antenna is still mounted in the rear window. the shark fin is only for cell phone reception. i learned this the other day at work while a tech was replacing one
