5.5 gen headlights on a 5th gen...insurance coverage

The thread title pretty much covers my concern.

Basically, I really like the my 5th fake AE lights, and I might buy H4, hi-lo because if I did get the 5.5 gen setup and they got stolen, I'm pretty sure my insurance wouldn't cover them, right?

They should, just make sure you have a receipt, and pictures also.

That all depends on your insurance company what they do cover or not. Generally speaking, insurance usaually cover what was the original equipment, additionally it's bolted on to the car, so that should be covered, just like an aftermarket stereo bolted to the car.

You have to make sure you let your insurance company know that you have these lights on the car. They may or may no charge you extra premium to cover those lights. It depends on the state and insurance company.

i know my insurance had to take a picture of my car when i got it insured. so they may have to take an updated pic or put that on record but they must cover anything that's on or in your car as long as you have proof.
