Anyone Tried This Yet?

I recently put on my Frankencar midpipe with my Stillen filter set-up. I was running a Secret Weapon R filter for a while because I blew my mass air sensor twice with the Stillen filter, thought I'd try something new. I was thinking of modifying my Frankencar midpipe to fit it to the stock airbox, and use a K&N panel filter (which I already have because it's the first mod I did). I've tried for goofs to see if it fits to the stock set-up. It looks like if I took off a half an inch of the end of the midpipe, that it would fit with the factory airbox setup. Has anyone tried this yet? I don't want to hack up the midpipe(even though removing a half an inch would not ruin it) for nothing, but I was thinking of doing this because I don't feel like dealing with the bullsh*t of another MAF being blown, then limping the car home, and then re-installing the factory set-up, and then getting bent over at the you know where. I wonder if this set-up would restore all my low-end power.

I was also thinking that it might cut the sound down a little. I've gotten a lot ok looks by people in traffic and on the street when I nail it. The kid in me loves the sound, but the adult in me is saying to tone it down , so the cops don't bust your *****. I think it will fit if I just take off that little bit. I'm really wondering about what the end result would be.

get the place racing CAI, the filter sits inside the wheel well, so its not as loud as a WAI, and still has the good ol low range rpm. but if you dont have the money, then go with the ghetto air box.

I just did put on Eibach's with Tokico's, and then the four new cross-drilled/slotted rotors with Hawk pads, and two new rims with four new tires. I'm kind of tapped out. My next mod will be headers or a y-pipe, and then a new flywheel and clutch assembly. I just wanted to get that little extra bit of power out of her.
