SES light resetting before inspection?

I am wondering is there anyway for the guy who is doing inspection know that i had the SES light reset before going in for inspection ? NY law now uses OBDII as part of inspection.

if you reset it right before going in, they will not be able to finish the inspection. the ecu has to cycle a certain amount of times which includes a certain amount of miles driven and times started/turned off. if that happens and the issue has not been corrected then the ecu will cycle the code back out and it will obviously fail. what code are you having a problem with?

no that wont work, the ecu hast to register a Sytem Rediness Test (SRT) code when inspected, the SRT indicates that the cars computer has done a self diagnoses of the emmission sytem and components. In order for the car to do that a certain driving pattern, acelerating, holding a certain speed for an amount of time, w/ engine cold, hot ect. a hundred miles or so of normal driving should fufill all the requirments. if they have not been met some emmisions system will register the test as incomplete when taken in for inspection, and you will not pass

I had that one a few days ago, then it went off and back on the next day and its been back off for the last few days. I then to get it when the weather has a major change from one day to the next.
