First Oil Change for my 2k

Well Im going to be doin' my first oil change on my new 2k... I had a 4th gen before and I did oil changed there before. I was just wondering if there will be any difference while doin' so?

I have 90k miles so should I continue to use 5w30? I will be using Mobil 1... I also plan to add a fuel injector cleaner bottle in after I get a full tank of gas... I'll also change spark plugs the following week... I just wanna make sure I will do the oil change correctly... I'm pretty sure it's the same as a 4th gen.. thanx everyone!

Tips would be great tooo!

alright... thanks.. I just wanted to make sure... i figure the filter would be different.... I'm definately goin' with an OEM filter...

I was thinking about doing the tranny flush too.. from lontar's page but I'm not sure if I would have the time or if I would do it correctly...

How much does it usually cost anyways.. maybe a 90k service will do? 300$ +?

Thanks everyone..

Trust me it is so easy to do... just look at my write up and spend some time looking at what you are doing. Follow it and everything will be OK. The total price was in the $90 including the "Drinks"
Don't pay the dealer300.00 to flush your tranny w/o dropping the pan.. it is a ripp off, but it will be your choice.... good luck

actually, use a 4th gen filter. if you go into the oil section and download the spreadsheet, you will see why. the 5th gen filter is actually smaller and has cardboard endcaps like the cheap fram filters do. the 4th gen is a little larger and has metal endcaps. go in there and see for yourself. i have run the 4th gen filter since i saw the breakdown. also, as long as you are not burning a good bit of oil then keep with the 5W-30.

You should put the fuel injector cleaner in before you buy the gas, but don't buy a full tank. Read the label. You should use the fuel injector cleaner before the oil change, not after.

Yeah I've heard people put it in AFTER a FULL tank of gas... I guess I'll just do what the instruction says :-)
