Springs?!?

Springs?!?

I have a 2001 black maxima gle, soon to have 18" giovanna black ararats on 225/40/18 I want to drop it to get that clean look like a 1inch or 1 1/4 what springs would you recommend and would I need to get struts everyone says that u should get struts if ur getting springs but I dont think a 1 - 1 1/4 I would need new struts would I? I want to have the most comfortable ride as possible, I dont want a stiff *** suspension Thanks

read the stickies and look around a little

maxspeed springs

and yes you need struts..yours are 5 years old!!!

if you want a drop of that height that is even, go with Maxspeeds. Progress are more of a drop.

illumina and vogtland. i have been looking into what strut/spring combo would be best and for me this is the one. they will be on in about a month, ill let you know just how great it is. i have also heard great reviews on the illumina w/ eibach pro-kit.

eibachs are pretty nice springs, i've heard a lot about max speeds and illumina. I guess you need to check housecor's website like i have.

Matt, I am VERY interested in finding out how you like your Vogtlands when you get them installed. Please post a thread about it with pictures. Not many Maxima owners have these springs yet, but the company seems reputable, and one of Vogtland's executives used to work for H&R, apparently. In addition to finding out how the ride quality on Vogtlands is, a lot of us want to know if they offer the same "uneven" look as the H&R springs (yes, I know the H&R drop isn't actually uneven, but it looks that way).
