Suspension Question
Suspension Question
01 Max has 75k- I am noticing the wheel moves left right left right a little over bumps- the front feels a little loose. If I push on the hood it's a little bouncy--1.5 to recover back to normal. Is this the struts? The strut guy said not necessarily (honest of him- could have cost him a sale but gained him loyalty) and I should check the other components first...how do I do this?
The car 100% is stock the way I like it- if it is the struts I'm thinking of going with KYB Gr2's and keeping the stock springs- I want the same height and maybe just a touch stiffer than stock. I can get both for $198.00 not including install. Are these good all around struts or can anyone suggest anything else?
I need to replace the rotors and pads too in the front. I don't race- what kind of rotors and pads do you recommend.

you might have 2 problems.
1. wheel bearings
2. blown struts
wheel bearings are easy to check, just jack up your car and try to give your wheel a GOOD shake, see if it moves left right or up down and of course best way is to have a expert check it for you
Gr-2 is good enough for stockers. but i recommand you pair up with tein H tech springs because stock springs just too soft imo.
if you just want regular rotors and pads, i recommand the duralast rotors and pads from autozone. i have them, they are all good and reasonable price. Things will be very easy to get done with a torque wrench.
hope this helps
