I Needed Help.

I was driving on the highway and as i was makin a turn on my exit i had a big problem. My wheel locked up and my dash lights went on. The car stalled as i was haulin *** off a turn.

I restared but it kept dyin on me. The RPMs would shoot up to between 2 and 3 and go all over the place and in a few moments it would die again.

Luckily, i live next to the highway and managed to get it home after stalling another few times.

WDF is goin on with the car. First time ever experiencing this problem. Any help wil be greatly appreciated.

I had an IACV fail on my 2k1, the car just would not idle, it ran normally other than that and the CEL came on. It threw P0505 code.

That happened to me while trying to make a turn as well. It was really scary since I stalled out obstructing incoming traffic...thank God I wasn't holding my DD coffee.

My ride would stall out from time to time and the engine would race up and down as well. For me it turned out to be 2 things, a dirty throttle body and a clogged IACVV (sp?).

Pick up some carb and choke cleaner and clean out your TB. That "should" correct the stallin out.

The valve which I think is known as the Idle air control valve is really cheap so maybe this whole problem will turn out to be a cheap and easy fix. Good luck.

OT - Does anyone know what happened to this site? http://www.motorvate.ca/mvp.php Hope it's not dead =/

It was the valve. I had to have the valve assembly replaced. The part itself was about $230 form the dealer. But i managed to get it for $190 from him. Thats just for the part. This isnt exactly a DIY job.

dude take the intake off and spray some carb cleaner on a rag and wipe the inside of the throttle body--open it up and get as far in as you can--we usually do this for a sticky gas pedal--but if its excessive can do that--never really seen it though--cuz whlie at idle the throttle does not close all the way--it is open just a hair--
