2003 Se

What's going on everyone. I am thinking of trading in my 94 GXE for a 2003 SE Silver with grey cloth interior and 90k miles. They want $13,500 for it. The car seems to be in good shape. Sunroof, cd changer, heated seats (in cloth?). Is this a good deal for a 2003 with this many miles? I would rather have leather, but oh well. I want a 2002 up SE or GLE trim for less than 15k. What do you guys think? Let me know. Thanks.

Some things you fail to mention:
-are you getting it from a nissan dealer or used car place
-is it an auto or stick
-Bose premium sound system?
The mileage would concern me personally. I got a 2003 Black SE, auto, cloth seats, standard audio system, single disc cd changer, no sunroof, 35000 miles for 16995 no Long Island from a dealer. Have you gotten a carfax report on the vehicle? Is the dealer offering at least a 1 year warranty on the vehicle? Usually with mileage like that, they won't offer anything. Just something to keep in mind. Not that anything major will fail, but peace of mind can't hurt.

Have you seen this car in person? I doubt it actually has heated seats since they are cloth. From what I can recall, I don't think this was part of any option package that was available with the cloth seats. I could be wrong though. As far a price, that is way too high for a car with that kind of mileage. Personally, I wouldn't buy a used car with that kind of mileage regardless (unless it was a ridiculously obvious steal). Keep on looking, you will find a car that you want with the stuff you want. Your price limit is reasonable IMO.

TXT - some cloth packages came with the Meridian heated seats... rare, but some did.

94GXE - I think the price is good for a 2003, however the miles are pretty da% high. You might want to reconsider a 2002 with lower miles... you still have the 3.5L and can find one with decent options.

I agree with looking to see if you can get one with lower miles. Just my two cents.

I wish I had the heated seats with my cloth interior.

I agree- look for one with less miles.

It is actually at a used car dealer, not a Nissan dealership. I looked on AutoTrader and found several more 2002's with half the mileage and leather for $500 more elsewhere. I am going to pass it up. Thanks for the input guys. Another quick question, what year did they start the HID's? Is it standard in SE's or GLE's or an option across the board? Let me know. Thanks.

I'm always weary of used car dealers. Most of them are pretty shady. Chances are they picked it up at an auction. The dealer prob couldn't sell it w/ so many miles and dumped it. If the carfax checks out & there are no repainted body panels, offer $11-12K and see if they'll give it up.

HID's started in '02 for all Max models.

You've made up your mind, keep on looking.

I personally would want leather seats, sunroof and a 5-speed and no more than 30-35K for a 2003. I would also require the maintenance history for the car.
