Exhaust mods

What is a good exhaust mod to get more sound at WOT but still have a quiet overall exhaust? Or is there such a thing?
Thanks

Or you can just remove the resonator, and youll get a pretty sweet sound at WOT!!

Not to be a d*ck, but that car sounded really ricey. Kinda like a Civic with an autozone muffler.

i got a question, if you guys won a muffler at an audio competition (its a ReActive muffler) it's a dual-muffler and about 3" on each, goes for about $250 retail. would you put it on your car?

Need more details... do ya want headers? Header back? Cat back? Muffler only?

Read through the past 5-10 pages.... I seem to recall a good number of exhaust discussions there... key names to look for if ya don't want it loud for everyday driving are Frankencar, Cattman, Mossy cat-backs.... even an aftermarket y-pipe and b-pipe with the stock muffler will sound decent....

What is inexpensive to you? The cheapest route would be to get an aftermarket or custom 2.5" b-pipe and keep your stock muffler, then see how ya like the way that sounds, if ya want more exhaust tone, ie. noise, get a Powertech or Magnaflow muffler and have some 2.5" piping welded on to make it bolt on to your b-pipe.

I have just the Frankencar B Pipe with a fully stock exhaust etc... It's a touch louder but more like a throaty sound. I still hear the motor more @ WOT than the exhaust and that's without an intake!

HKS rear section IMO is argueably the best sounding exhaust for the Max. It has a low hum at Idle and low speeds, and disappears at high speed, unless you are porking the gas, then it has a nice strong sound. I'm surprised that not many people run them. It looks like the factory muffler on steroids. In fact, most of the twin tipped aftermarket mufflers look like a copy of the HKS muffler.
