Anyone know where to get these parts? I have searched the internet up and down and have come up with nothing. Dealer is quoting $460, should I bite the bullet and have them replace them? Any help is much appreciated.

Give Dave B a call if not look for someone parting out a 01 or 02 Maxima. Make sure its a late production 01 Cali spec (if thats what you can find on the .org), they use pretty much same evap canister and vent valves. Anyways- warranty should cover this item ! Its a 8 year or 80K mile FEDERAL law that this is covered. Unless the dealer thinks you tampered with the system- but I doubt anyone would try to modify the EVAP system for more power or what not LOL.

 

according to the dealers this item is not covered under that warranty..i have had my CEL on since september because of this same problem and its not a crutial item and its just way too expensive at this time for me to repair it

 

Well, thanks for the replies but I went ahead and told them to do it. I don't think the price is too far off and this dealership was really pleasant to deal with. Sometimes you just gotta bend over and take it. They also did the crank angle sensor recall for me and I didn't even ask. Hopefully in the future this dealership or my warranty can hook me up with something.
