spoiler installation

well I bought my mom an OEM spoiler for Mothers Day for her 02' GLE. Problem is that I am callilng around to various body shops and getting quotes for install, mounting, and LED brake light hook up for $150 - $190 freaking dollars!!!!!!!

The spoiler is already painted too. I was not aware the intall would rack up that much. I was assuming it would be a one hour job and cost in the realm of $40-$60.

any advice guys?

thanks

Haha, i would of hooked it up myself. It comes with the layout and everything... But i got into an accident with the max and they threw mine on for free.. I see your in Chi-town. Call AutoKrafters on Rand Road (near Deer Park, IL)... They might have a better price and its real quality work... Good luck bro

DTR... the installation isn't as hard as it looks... get a dry erase marker and then place the spoiler on the back where it is supposed to go... you can tell by looking at Maximas with the spoiler on. Next, use the dry erase to mark off where the spoiler sits... and then measure in for the center of each hole, using a chalk piece or something. You drill the holes where the two lines meet... and the rest is simply cleaning up the dry erase and chalk marks, tightening down the bolts and wiring the light into your tail lights.

In Chi-town... go to Hooters in Schaumburg on a Wednesday night to hook up with some of the Org who show up - there are several who know electrical wiring and can help you (or volunteer to do the whole thing without going to a shop).
