Question for those with Stillen Knockoff RSB off eBay
I just got my stillen knockoff RSB off eBay. It was supposed to be a new product, but the pieces came wrapped in bubblewrap with a note saying "hi - this a new product, but I took out for to take pictures - no worry!" Well, that's fine except that it is all scratched up like he drug it across the road or something (it's not shipping damage).
Did this happen to any of you? Is it just going to get scratched up anyway being under the car, and should I just not care then? or try to get it replaced?
Maybe I just watch too much Overhaulin' and Rides and think that all aftermarket componenets should be good quality (at least not all beat up when I get them). My FSTB came this way too - paint scratches and gouges - should I just expect this?

Mine came from Ebay and it was brand new - in a generic box, not a single scratch on it.
Yours, well....it will stay under the car so don't worry about it too much if it is not damaged in any other way and if it is not rusty. If there is rust or missing parts - start complaining and ask for exchange/refund.

That is BS. Get the seller to send you some money back to compensate for the damage. I wouldn't bother trying to exchange it. Once it goes under your car, it's not going to stay pretty looking for long. The eBay knockoff is painted steel, while the genuine Stillen one is anodized aluminum. So eventually yours will scratch/chip and rust. But it's so thick that it won't make a difference. The OEM RSB is steel and easily holds up for the lifetime of your car. If you really are concerned, just clean/prep it and spray a layer of undercoat on. Good luck.

You really can't see it under the car. It depends on how hard it will be to send it back and get a new one. If it is really scratched up I'd be upset and send it back. Nice ride by the way.... I love that color, as you can tell by my sig.

Thanks guys - I hate to complain about stuff like this, but I just couldn't believe that that was what I should have expected in terms of quality.
I'll send the seller a friendly inquiry...
Thanks! It's my favorite!
