Goodbye ugly Halogens, hello H.I.D.'s!! **Pics inside**

Well, I finally got my hands on a set of H.I.D.'s and I installed them on my 2K SE the other day. Man, do they make a huge difference in light output and appearance compared to those ugly halogens! Let me tell you though, when it comes to electrical parts in the car, I am very knowledgable of what I am doing. But, for some reason for the life of me, I couldn't get these to work. The way the 2K model is setup, I would have never known that the low beam and high beam were negative to ground in order to illuminate the lamps. Well, thanks to "Joeynym" quick response in sending me a write-up, I was well on my way. Here are some pics. Tell me what you guys think.

nice!

now make sure u don't park that lady anywhere in the city!

only reason i am not doing 2k2 hid conversion is cuz of the haterz out there hustling for maxima headlights.

i instead got a cheap H4 conversion.....great output, and great amount of glare, everyone in front of me hates me, LOL

NYghetto, have you looked into getting something like this to get rid of the glare? It could help

I don't like the '00-01 grille with the newer headlights. Looks small and funky. Might as well do a whole front end swap, and then it would look right.

Yeah, it does look kind of wierd to me also with the 2k-2k1 grille. I'll get used to it, though. If I can get my hands on a pre-painted 2k2-2k3 bumper, I'll do the conversion.

I don't think the 00-01 grill looks bad on a black car, I think it looks way better than a huge gapping hole the 02-03s have. When you see this front end in your mirror, betta move over.....

Don't be jealous Like you wouldn't want to have an '02 or '03.

I like both grilles, I just prefer each other with their original eyeballs. But there are exceptions, a black car, or painted grille can make it look better.

BTW, nothing wrong with a "gaping" hole in the front end of your car. In fact, some owners like that...

Nah, 5.5 grill is too big, in-your-face (which I guess was the intent)

I agree....I think it looks to small with the 02-03 head lights....the bigger grill and it will look better in my opinion....but nice looks good...just needs a bigger grill....

There used to be a writeup in the sticky's, but was later removed because of high theft of these lights.
