I had the guy put in Lube Gard and it shifts even smoother than before. All the mechanics swear by this stuff and I was suprised to notice the difference. Shifts are very subtle now and they were smooth before.
I recomend this stuff and it is only $15 bottle. With the low miles (7,000) we felt it wasn't necessary to drop the pan and check the filter yet. We'll do that next year.
Total cost $40 from a Transmision shop.

I never felt the need to take the car to the dealer for tranny problems. It has always worked fine. Law of averages,
once in a while a good part is built.

I have about 13000 miles on my car and was wondering if a transmission fluid flush would help shifting. My trans is giving me problems even after the TCM change. When checking my dip stick I can see small metal silvers in the fluid. Should I wait till the recommended 30,000 or flush it now?

Go to the dealer and get a new tranny....sounds like the faulty solenoids ate your tranny....go to dealer ASAP!!

UMD_MaxSE, oh how I wish I could get new solenoids. I've been to the dealer 4-5 times and still have no luck. I'm just waiting for my trans to die before my warranty is up so I can get a new trans. Seems like it's the only way to get it fixed. I hate Nissan service.

Have you tried another dealer? Otherwise just start driving your baby hard and tear the tranny apart. Then you can say I told you so when you take it in.
