4th gen max looking for a fifth gen

Hey guys usualy I am in the 4th gen forum but i am looking for a 2000+ max but i only have hopefully around 8. Would this be possible to get one with descent miles. I have seen one for a 2001 se with 140,000 for askin 7995. Would this be worth it? or do I need to save a lot more? Hope to see you guys soon.

www.autotrader.com I'm sure you can find one for around that price. Personally I'd save a little more and get a 02-03.

What's wrong with your current car? If I was going to spend 8k, I wouldn't get a 01 when I already have a 95. It seems like a decent deal, but you could have more for that price, and if you save even a little more (12-14k) you could get a nice 5.5g.

yes, it is stupid to go from one old car to another old car. 140K mi is way too much miles for 2001. You can get 2000 with 100k mi for around 8 g's if look hard enough.

I got my 2k for 9k out the door with all taxes and registration. They also serviced my brakes. Had 95k miles on it. I found it on recycler.com, but autotrader.com, carsdirect.com, cars.com and sometimes ebay.com are good places to look. My only suggestion is to wait (even if it takes a few months) find one is your price range, color, options and miles you are looking for. Many deals MAY come up or may not. Just be sure to jump on the deals quick because most people won't wait for you.

Here are a few I found close to your price range.

Just from that, 7-9 grand is a reasonable price to get into a 2000 Max. Just make sure you do your homework before you take the plunge. Carfax, mechanic check, etc etc etc.

If I were to go back and do it again I would have saved for a 5.5gen. (rhyme wholly unintentional)
