Yeah I know, what the hell am I doing talking about winter tires in May. Here's the reason - my brother has a set of 195/65/15 Blizzaks with at least a seasons worth of tread left that I can have for free. I just want to make sure that the size of the tire is OK for my Max. Other than looking a little skinny is there any reason why I shouldn't take them off his hands?

Yeah, should be OK, but go to Miata.net and find the tire size calculator and it will tell you how far off your Spedo will be. The biggest problem you will have is finding a 15 inch steel wheel that fits.

Personally I have 205/70R15s for winters, Blizzaks.

My MAX has 16" Summers and 15" Winters. Up here, we get nasty snow piles and ice. Mainly ice. But you don't want wide tires for winter. They are useless. You just end up "plowing" snow and not "Cutting" through it.

Get them from him.
