Tokico Illumina front only with Maxspeeds

I have been thinking on doing this for a while now. Should I do it. I'm getting the Maxspeeds and 2 Illuminas for the front. I'm not replacing the rear for now. Is it safe to do? If not why? I don't race at all, only cruise at 75mph on the way to work. Your prompt response will be apreciated. I'm buying the illuminas tomorrow...and the Maxspeeds right now. Any links where to buy them cheap...?

Thanks
Luis

[I have maxspeeds on my 02 GLE and originally had left the stock struts with 35k on with them. The front needs the most help and I didn't want to drop the $$$ all at once so I just got illuminas up front.

It helped tremendously, the front being where most of the weight is, is where it is needed most. I also have a fstb, a rsb and recently stage 1 sfc's. I have to say after the getting the illuminas up front, the sfc's are by far the most dramatic improvement in ride quality for these unibody designs.

I will be getting some illuminas for the rear shortly as the gle struts are starting to give out after 10k more miles with the maxspeeds. I run the fronts on 2 but 3 is pretty comfortable and I have soft comfy tires, sized 225/55/17 michelin energy MXV4. My main concerns are comfort, quietness, and getting moderate handling improvements, in that order of importance.
Hope that helps.

I got mine at www.performancepeddler.com the prices are great and include shipping. I think your looking at about $260 shipped for the fronts.
They also have some front hawk brake hps pads for $45 shipped.
