it's really easy to do it. looked at a couple of how to's before i tried and it and then just jumped in and did it. rented the spring compressor from auto zone and saved myself some money. well worth the time and money well worth it

yeah, i'm definitely gonna do it myself when it happens, with the help of some friends of course...i'm gonna just take my time, and try getting everything right the first time, cuz i dont want to screw anything up...
on a side note, i've heard several people say the ride with the maxspeeds was pretty close to stock, so what do you think about it? and what struts are you running?

Yeah it is definately close to stock. In a straight line, even on a bumpy road you will barely notice the difference, but in acceleration, braking, and especially cornering, the car stays so much flatter, it's great. Also I am running stock struts, so Illuminas I'm sure will be even better.

that's definitely good news...i'm planning on either getting H-techs or H&R's (h-techs for the look, H&Rs for the ride) and according to housecor's site, the H&Rs offer the best ride, so if the maxspeeds give a smooth ride, i'm sure the H&Rs will too...i wish i lived near someone with both so i could feel the difference between them, but i'm sure i'll decide one way or the other...

mine are on stock struts too, like soonr02r1 said, in straight line just like stock, but you really start to push that car it stays flat. i love it

how low are h&r supposed to lower? cause i lwoered my bros 5th gen with h&R and stock struts and its too low for some reason. he has like a 2 finger gap in front and 3 figner gap in the back.

I've heard a lot of good things about the Maxspeeds, but a few Org members have said that they ride a bit funny/harsh when you have people in the back seat. Have you noticed any strange behavior in the rear end when the back of the car is loaded? Thanks in advance for your input.

how much more strain do you think the maxspeeds put on the stock struts compared to the stock springs on the stock struts? how long are you guys planning on running maxspeeds with stock struts for?

Looks good, guys. I also ran them with my stock struts. Installed Maxspeeds at about 15,000 miles. Just switched to D2's at 34,000. I could tell that the stock struts were starting to get a bit bouncy so you should be able to get some use from the OEM struts before they need replacing.
