PowerTech 1012

Im thinking about getting the powertech 1012, If i do should i let the shop make the b-pipe or will it fit on any aftermarket b-pipe.. I guess what im asking is how will I get it on with out cutting off my factory muffler

well its not really the b-pipe that you would be cutting into. Our stock muffler has a seperate flange that connects to the b-pipe so the muffler has its own piping. I guess you can get an exhaust shop to fab up a pip that will go over the rear axle beam. If you can, maybe just find a used exhaust in the forsale forum and chop that up.

I just removed the PT1012 after it's been on the car for 2 years +, I just couldn't bear the sound anymore, I already had the Cattman Y & B-Pipe and resonator. I finally bought the Cattman muffler to complete the car, way much better than the PT muffler and the sound is excellent.

It is a loud muffler. It fits on any rear section, being that they weld it on. Unless the Shop does mandrel bending...dont let them make the b pipe

oh, I did not know they were loud... I dont want a loud muffler at all, I thought it was just alittle louder than stock

Good luck finding that unless you live in or near a major city. I was told by a reputable exhaust shop that there was only 1 mandrel bender within 500 miles of my town.
