ABS self-diag mode.. anyone tried?
Hi
My ABS light stays on all the time. I found some info in service manual about ABS self-diagnostic mode. It looks like you have to ground pin 8 of OBDII connector and turn on ignition.. and ABS light suppose to flash. Nothing happens here...
Anyone tried that?
I don't want to waste $80 at dealership to check whats wrong with my ABS.
Help anyone?

i have not had any issues with my abs but i would imagine plugging up the obd2 plug with a diagnostic tool that it would load/display a code. i know they would be a different series of numbers than the typical engine/trans/etc codes that would come out but i would try that first. do you have an autzone near that you that could try for free? i could be mistaken but that would be my guess.

nope regular OBD2 reader does not pull any codes.
seems like only CONSULT can read them...
service manual says that i can read the codes by myself... but i can't get it to work.
