i went to the Star Nissan Dealership in Queens, NY and got quoted $26.500 for a fully loaded 20thAE w/ 5speed. I asked the guy to give me a cheaper price but he told me that the car is limited. What do you guys think about the price? Also, can someone commnent their opinions on the 2001 Audi A4 1.8T. I really like the AWD system and the brand, but the only thing that is hesitating me from getting it is the overall cost of ownership (i.e. cost of car + insurance), and the lack of room. Since I have been driving the Maxima for 5 years now, I am worried that it will be uncomftrable later. I truly love the new Maximas since they are fast and unbelievably reliable. Please input some comments or suggestion. Thanks again!

That sounds like a nice price... TO get a similar thing in December, I was quoted $30000, so....

I think that it sounds like a pretty good quote. Like djmaxski said, I too was quoted close to 30k back in Dec. when I was looking to buy.
Go for it. 5spd AEs will be a rare car to own.

Below Invoice...

That's clearly below invoice...I'd say go for it...you can always try to go lower.

Re: Below Invoice...

They are selling the AE (Merlot) for 25,450 in these parts for some reason? That seems to be an awesome price 26k. As far as th Audi, DON't DO IT! My wife bought an A4 2.8 Quattro back in 98. I had big plans for this car but it seemed to stay in the service dept. more than our driveway and each time after the warranty expired it was something around the range of 250-800 dollars. Maybe we just had a lemon, don't know. If you get one I have a set of 18" Oettinger wheels and body kit for it that were originally on her car that I would cut you a deal on, I left the springs on like a do-do when I traded for her IS 300.
