GAS Tank Door

This is happening for the 2nd time. The door that opens/leads to the tank is stuck. I press the open button inside of my car and nothing.....This has happened like 3 times already and it alwasy happenes when I am on the low end...The last time I had to force it open with the screwdriver becuase I was really really low on gas. Anybody know what might be happening, I kno its electrical but is it anything I can fix?

Have you tried checking for rust/dirt/grime/gunk in the hinge and release area? Clean it up and it *should* pop right out.

I had to replace my driver side mirror, so i had to take off the door panel. When i put everything back together, no gas tank release. The button did nothing.
this was because i never hooked back up the electrical connector for the gas tank/trunk release. Did you disconnect that recently???Does your trunk release work?Do you hear/feel it pop the door when you press the button,or do you get nothing at all. See if that connector got loose or you never put it back on.

UPDATE!!! After like 30 presses it opened, I then closed it and tried it again....NOthing...I took a screwdriver and had a priend depress the button while i opened it. I snapped the little black thing holding the door and will be going tomorrow to replace it....Is it an easy part to replace or should I let the mcharge me like .5-1hr labor to fix it...

ah man,you broke an additional piece too? I still think you should pop that door panel off and check the connector/wires. Maybe theyre just barely making contact. Wont hurt to check, itll take literally 5 minutes. I dont know what clip you broke right now though. I gotta look at mine tomorrow to understand.

I know that happened to me for a while and when I checked the inside, there was all this gunk and crap where it turns. I cleaned it all out and it popped open wit no hesitation after that
