Another Headlight Victim...but this is kinda weird

Made a trip tp Orlando this weekend in my girtlfriends 03 Max and came outside to find the headlights missing. I know this is a common occurance but I really didn't think it would happen to her,for some reason.
We live in a pretty big city but I haven't heard of this happening around here just in bigger cities, but I guess Orlando was one of those cities.

The thiefs pryed up the driver doors handle poped the hood and neatly unhooked the wires, took the HID bulbs but trashed the housing. Nothing really got damged on the car except the door handle.

But the weird part is every time I turn the car off and take the key out of the ignition the front windows roll down. I can't figure this out. So,I have to unhook the battery every time we get out of the car. Has this happen to any other headlight victims or did the thiefs just mess something up in the when they pryed the door handle open? I will post pics later.

wow that is weird...our cars have the ability to roll the windows up and down using the key in the door handle (just hold it in one direction a few seconds to roll it down and another to roll it up) so i'm guessing the broken handle keyhole is just stuck in that position...it will most likely go away when you get it fixed (or is it fixed already?) good luck on getting everything sorted out though!

Yes,stay close to your car b/c these thiefs really knew what they were doing. There were two other cars in the parking lot that had the same thing done to them.

That would be the first documented case ive heard of in orlando....what neighborhood were you in when this happened. If you were in Sanford, Kissimmee, or the west side of downtown, it could be a possibility. Anywhere else this is a nonissue.

i beleive all maximas have the window roll up/down on them. my buddy's 97 max can roll down the windows by holding down the unlock key on the remote for the alarm. i think it would roll up the windows if you hold down the lock key. i gotta check this out. i know for a fact that holding down unlock rolls down the windows on my 03 and his 97.

I had the same problem when they got me... when they pryed the handle they mess with some wires that handle the roll down windows...once you get it fix then you wont have that problem...

in the mean time disconect the wires from the button panel on the door... that should take care of that...it worked for me..

I have seen it happened in Orlando too. It happened where I used to live Hunters Creek... so it is happening everywhere. I always try to keep my car close to me. I added the HID a while back...
