Clearence lights a b*tch...

Why are the clearence lights so hard to twist in and out? I changed them about two months ago and they were a bit of a b*tch to twist back in. I went to change one of them a few days ago(one headlight was stolen so i bought new bulbs) and for the life of me, I couldn't twist it back into place(driverside). The battery is a little in a way and I'm righthanded but forced to use my left hand to put it in. Anyone else feel the same way? Anyone have any tips?

I agree twisting the socket back in is a pain. My solution was get my brothers to twist it back on for a dollar. Simple yet effective.

Devils Fan: I definitely agree with you. I had an 2001 SE that was wrecked last year but that car seemed to be much easier to change the clearence lights than this vehicle. My 2002 SE is a pain in the neck....alot of cuts on my fingers and yelling at the car while changing these lights. I actually bought my car (identical to yours, in Yonkers). Sick Price....$12,000 for 30,000 Miles....no problems at all.

I have to actually loosen the battery and push it back a little to be able to replace that bulb on the driver's side. Patience and small hands help.

i don't exactly have small hands, but smaller than some...anyhow, i don't really have any problems with replacing my clearance lights (trust me, i've done it about 5000x10^1094244 times) but after i replace them is when i notice my hands all scuffed up it's just a really tight space, and if you're willing to shove your hand down in that little space and maybe get a few scratches, then you're good, but it all takes time and patience.
