New ECU

i was just wondering if any of you tech guys know, if i was to replace my ECU with another one with less mileage, would it actually give the one with the less miles or would it have it stored in memory somewhere the old ECU's mileage.....

actually, it's stored in both places - it is set up to make it difficult to fraudulently "rolling back" the mileage (which is a felony, I believe)

rolling back is risky...but tapping into the wiring and creating a switch to turn off ur odometer and unfortunately ur speedometer as well is alot easier than i thought. i didnt do it to my car cause i plan on driving my car until its death and will be proud of my high miles but had a friend who did it to his bmw. which of course is illegal and no the smartest but hey he's happy with his low miles
