Looking through the Nissan service manual I noticed that the bulb specifications lists a 'front turn signal lamp (21 watts)' and a 'side turn signal lamp (5 watts)'. What bulb does this refer to? If there is a 'side turn signal', why is there a need to rewire the sidemarkers to blink? Is this possibly a hold over from another model (such as the I30) that did not get changed when the manual was rewritten for the Max?

The side marker is also listed (3.8 watts). Guess I will rewire the side markers to get a turn signal on the side.
