Any chance that you are killing the MAF. The headers may be pulling more flow, which your computer may perceive as a need for more injection. Lean bank was what I had when the MAF went. Did you re-program the ECU for your headers.

There is your problem....stillen headers dont make any power to begin with. Also, you have to use O2 sensor simulators with their kit...they should have been included.

not to hijack the thread...

I just installed the HS headers on 00' and I can hear a leak... It has been pissing me off finding it. Only because you can only hear it when the car is under a load (car is in gear). if the car is in park and you rev the engine you get nothing.

I have narrowed it down to a couple things... the top of the list is the gasket between the Y-Pipe and Cat. That is the only non-metal gasket on the exhaust, could that be the leak???

If not It might be the rear manifold, and I hope it is not that because then I have to pull the upper intake to really get at the bolts.

you should be using gaskets with a metal ring...not a full metal gasket or hello leaks

Have you tried resetting the ecu and driving it around? you never mentioned anything like that so I assume you haven't? Go try that out first....

i resetted the ecu million times cause the code keeps popping up. i replace all the exhaust gaskets yesterday working till 4am. resetted the ecu for the 10th time. Also order o2 sensor simulators for 2 for 90 bucks. hopefully everything will be solved.

I'm going to get a SAFC because my car started running a lot leaner after i installed the headers. I did a dyno a few weeks after the headers and its obviously lean at the lower rpms.

The 02 simulators will hopefully solve your problem. What is your butt dyno telling you about your Stillen headers? Do you have any other exhaust MODS?

dont even bother dynoing the stillen headers...its about 1whp better than a Y, B, rear section on a 5.5 gen. We proved that 2.5 yrs ago. As for your code...I explained it already, its not going anywhere w/o O2 sims. If you still have it with the sims, replace the sensor. However, its my recommendation that you get rid of that whole setup ASAP and get a decent set of headers.
