Problem with steering wheel controls!!

I've had all the same problems, but infrequently enough that I don't really mind. I wish I could clean the damn thing, but it looks like a pain in the *** to take off. It looks like you would have to take the whole steering wheel cover off.

Its happening to me too.
I took my car to the dealership to have it fixed under warrenty
The damn volume and station changer buttons were not working the whole way to the dealer i get there and its working so they wouldent replace it...

Its most likely the cable reel that sits behind the steering wheel and not the switches themselfs. 90% of the cars out there nowa days have the same kind of system for controlling the cruise and radio controlls via steering wheel controls, and the signal passes through the cable reel and then to the radio or cruise control brain box- don't you find it odd that both the cruise and radio controlls dont work and they both pass signals through the cable reel ? In order to repleace the reel, you need to take out the airbag, take off the steering wheel, and then the covers that are around the steering column, then you can remove the philips screws that hold the cable reel to the steering column assembly.
