Its Been awhile

Well it has been a long time since i posted on this board. I had a 2002 maxima for about 2 years then i traded it in on a BMW 330ci which i traded for a 2005 Jetta GLI(long story). I gave the jetta to my mom and bought a 98 Mustang GT this is going to be my daily driver for the next to year then it will become a track car only. Ok so now to the point which is that i am really intrested in going back to nissan but this time with a 350z. I love the 6 speed but i have a bad keen and it is hard on me to drive a manual car all day every day. So my question is how is the auto in the 350z is it as crappy as the one in the maxima? Mine stared sliping at 40k miles. I know, I know this is not a 350z forum but i got so much help from these boards for so long i thought i would try. thanks for all the help

Well this is from max experience.....but the auto tranny is weak.....so if they used the same transmissions then it will likely be the same. 6spd trannies are made MUCH stronger compared to the auto....so even though it will be harder to have a 6spd for a daily driver the tranny will last longer (and you will have more fun ) hope it helps....

i had test drive my friend 350, for my feel the auto version give a lot power and very responsive, not like max which has a 1-2 sec gap before the power pick up, just my opinion, best way test drive yourself to feel it.

RWD Nissan (Jatco) transmissions are very good to have .. Much better, from what I've heard, than the FWD. Post this in the "other cars" forum ... But come on, get the 6M Z... You've had a lot of cars being only 22, congrats, I'm jealous.
