I have a 2000 when i turn on the high beams the fog lights go out. I never noticed it untill now. I installed it myself using all stock stuff

That is how the foglights and headlights are designed. High beams shouldn't be used in rain and especially not in foggy conditions. The high beams reflect off the water vapor in the air, and it causes glare. Only low beams should be used in the rain and fog. That's why the foglights don't work with the high beams.

i will note, just for the hell of it, that it is actually illegal to have your fog lights on with highbeams, though I doubt you'd ever get a ticket for it.

While this thread is still around... One of my fog lights is out, but I am not sure whether it is the bulb, or the whole lense. There is a crack in the lense, but not all the way through to the point where it would ruin the whole unit I dont think... Any ways of checking. I ask this, because buying the lense and full unit, is like 90 bucks. Just a bulb is like 10. Any help is appreciated.

You probably have water in the lense. I had that problem, changed the bulb and the next rain caused it to blow again.

Check by putting in a new bulb. If still doesn't work, then I check the wiring. The fog light housing is just a housing, cracked or not, if the bulb is functional it should still shine.

Yeah it seems like you need to replace the fog light cause everytime it is introduced rain it will cause it to blow out

It's an H3 bulb (55 watt).

The site isnt letting me search, anyone have a link for installment of a new fog light. I have seen it on here before. I plan on re wireing it so that the fogs go on with the parking lights. I have the how to for that
